Count me into your Crime and Drama
She adjusted her laptop and snuggled into the pillow propped beside her.
Ginny and Georgia was on.
It was funny how a child could be way more momsy than her mom.
“I wonder how they picked Austin” she wondered.
It had been a heavy weekend with her cousin’s family.
The traditional Bride Price ceremony had been carried out and resulting celebrations had lasted the better part of two days.
Tonight though, it was time to settle back into routine.
“Crime and Drama tonight” she smiled. Not in real life though.
Her’s was too an extent, a monotony. A single stream of continuous existence.
Wake. Go to work. Come home. Watch. Sleep. Wake. Repeat.
Hell, she couldnt even remember walking in through the door.
“Oh wait” she smiled ruefully, “I was home the whole day.”
The taste of buai she’d chewed earlier still lingered on her tongue.
“I’ll brush later, when I have a shower”
She stretched out. Extending her curvy body across the bed.
She felt like she needed to lose weight. It had been three years since she’d had her implant, and she knew her diet had changed a bit since then.
Avocado’s crossed her mind for some reason. She wasnt sure why.
Atleast better than oranges right now. She grimaced.
“I like oranges, but not the color, raising her eyebrow at the scarf someone had given her as a birthday present a while back.
She felt content, watching Hunter Chen try yet again in his pursuit of Ginny.
“I wonder if that will happen to me one day” she mused.
She was glad though.
Being single meant no drama. And today. No one had pissed her off.
Maybe it’ll happen tomorrow, or not.
She turned the screen again, lay on her side, and pressed play.
