Regretting Sunsets

The ailing light doth bring forth nostalgia

Movies will do. Maybe a marathon. Nothing in particular she thought.

I just need to get my mind off of life, she sighed.

It was tough enough having to return back after a month away.

All good things come to an end I guess.

She sighed again.

She’d felt loneliness and pain. Emotions becoming all too familiar.

Atleast I can eat here. Rather than waiting like a demoralized begger.

Food from the garden and greens supplanted her unease.

It was good being home, but sitting on the beach and staring at the sunset had done nothing to ease her depression.

If only pink wasn’t part of the sky.

A silly thought. But then she’d had little time to be silly of late.

Nostalgia meant a happy memory, tinged with sadness, why then do I feel only regret and remorse.

I’ll live through this. I’ve fought countless battles already.

The war for life is not yet ended.

She smiled sadly.

Let me find those movies.
